Dungeons Remastered is a livestreaming performance-focused series where we take old-school D&D and AD&D adventures from the 1970’s and 1980’s and play them using modern D&D 5th edition rules.
Old School Roleplay (OSR) concepts are a big part of this, but with the streamlined and approachable gameplay of the modern ruleset.
Our focus is on combining a fun game and live play experience for the players, while being entertaining, fun, and engaging for our audience.
The problem with most D&D livestreams (not all, but most) is that they can be kind of boring for those not playing the game. It’s hard to drop into a story in the middle of a campaign, and most players don’t do much to make the session entertaining for the audience. Occasionally, you’ll get a person roleplaying their character with a voice or accent, but that’s usually it.
Dungeons Remastered aims to approach this more like a podcast performance or other show. It’s not quite improv theater (and we’re not professional actors), but we want the audience to be part of the experience, both in terms of us performing for them and getting them involved in the show directly.
